Here's what I've been up to. I'm coming back to my family roots. My sister's father, who has always been more like a dad to me than my biological one, is retired and has been collecting crystals and gemstones for years. He's always been a natural artist, crafter, and creator of beautiful things. Once an oil painter and a prolific potter, he's now begun crafting jewelry from his collection of natural gemstones and precious metals.

I've been working hard on trying to get his work out there to be seen. Our family is from a small town with a limited audience so I've been putting hours of hard work into a fan page and Etsy site and photographing all his work to compile into a portfolio.

You can find his work online now HERE and HERE. It's been a slow start in terms of followers so any help or promotion is amazing and greatly appreciated.

It's my hope and dream that I can support my dad's art and keep him going while bringing some talent to the surface from my tiny little hometown in upstate New York.

I'm just coming back into the city now on the bus. how could I forget how beautiful this place is? I'm falling in love all over again

Things I want to do when I get back to NYC:

- go gay clubbing
- go to a burlesque show + start learning myself!
- start work on my documentary
- head up a new staten island art-focused newsletter

I'm wading through my overpowering anxiety about life.. my mind is working on so many different levels, worrying and criticizing, the negative thought patterns are just perpetuating themselves into oblivion. My self-awareness means I'm actively telling myself to RELAX and just enjoy the moment.

I'm slowly trying to figure things out. I'm getting to the place where I'm totally okay with myself and the present moment, even if I'm not as productive as I want to be. It'll all turn out alright.
